The most famous part of The Municipal Park is La Baleine (the whale).  The skeleton of a whale that was washed up onto the beach at Luc in 1885 is now housed in the park and has become the symbol of the town.  Next to the skeleton is 'La Maison de la Baleine', a museum dedicated to this unique historical event.

Also in the park is the 'Arbre du Jumelage' (the Twinning Tree) that was planted to commemorate the official 'twinning' of the two towns.

The Mayor's Office is situated at the edge of the park with a magnificent view of the gardens and the whale!
